Nothing reveals how single you are like having your own dad post an ad in a paper, so he can find him some “nice NZ daughters”. Neil, an Oregon father of “three wonderful, successful, handsome, alas unmarried, sons” has taken it upon himself to help his offspring get lucky while they are visiting New Zealand this summer.

"We are not expecting, just hoping, to introduce our sons to nice NZ daughters. At the very least we'll embarrass our sons and the truth is, we do find some enjoyment in that,” the now viral ad reads. Neil told the Herald the family has travelled around a lot, but his sons never seem to interact with anybody. He is also aware that one of his sons hasn’t had much luck with dating sites back in the US. “I was just interested in them getting to know people, meeting people their age, and maybe develop some lasting, permanent relationships," he said.

The best part is, the three boys aged 28-32 were blissfully unaware. Neil’s master plan was to reveal the daring scheme either on the flight over or when they disembark. "I might say 'oh by the way I did place a little ad for you guys'," he chuckled. "I am sure they will be surprised and annoyed, but I am sure they will laugh. We have a good relationship and are always joking with each other. They know I am a little unusual in that regard."

Neil said he is “somewhat surprised” by how the ad received more than 200 responses. Well aware that some will be trolls, he says he will be basing his replies on how genuine and sincere the bachelorettes sound.
