Jo Duck is a Melbourne-based photographer inspired by film and drawn toward the unusual. Her influences are wide, ranging from old Hollywood to The X Files, cults to The Loveboat, Hitchcock to pulp art.

Motivated by hot sun on cars, Jo decided to create a photo series dedicated to the spike of light that's caused when the sun hits a shiny surface. That concept turned into a quest to capture a variety of objects, places, and people shimmering in the sunlight. This is the 'gling' of summer, meticulously executed through a brilliant eye and some tight art direction.
