All day, the internet and the British printed media has been barking and shouting about the new rule that means supermarkets will charge customers 5p for every plastic bag they want to use to carry their shopping home.

In light of this seismic event, we decided to wade in and try to offer some direction on how to deal with the "plastic bag chaos" / #bagpocalypse.

Here it is: When you go to the supermarket, make sure you have an extra 5p for every plastic bag you think you might need.
