An Entire Burger King Dressed Up as a Dead McDonald's for Halloween and Everyone Loved It

The Rego Park, Queens Burger King location took an old-school approach by using just a couple of gigantic sheets to pull off this unholy McDonald’s apparition.

As we head into Halloween weekend, there's an unlikely early leader in the best costume category. No, it isn't you with your on-trend Eleven or Barb costume, and it won't be your buddy dressing as the Access Hollywood bus.

The frontrunner is a Burger King in Queens, New York that's serving up shade with its spooky ghost McDonald's costume.

The Rego Park Burger King location took an old school approach by using just a couple of gigantic sheets to pull off this unholy McDonald's apparition. The word "McDonald's" is scrawled on the sheets with handwriting befitting a seventh-grader, and golden arches serve as ghostly eyebrows. To the relief of Rego Park BK fanatics, the roadside sandwich board sign reads, "Booooo! Just kidding, we still flame grill our burgers. Happy Halloween."

An employee at the location told MUNCHIES that the costume was just up for one day, and a PR representative said that the costume was the idea of a local franchise owner. But Burger King is making the most of it and put together a short advertisement highlighting the spine-chilling prospect of your local BK becoming—gasp—a phantom McDonald's that doesn't flame grill.

Thanks to terrifying clowns popping up all over the world and threatening people—sometimes with chainsaws—McDonald's Ronald McDonald is taking a sabbatical at the moment, so it'll be up to the Hamburglar and Grimace to avenge this Halloween affront.

I, for one, wouldn't mess with those guys—Hamburglar has the Midas touch when it comes to burgers, and Grimace is in cahoots with Donald Trump. Yikes.
