Last year, Australian electronic artist Braille Face, AKA Jordan White, wrote and recorded twelve albums—one for every month. A meditation on writing and finding his voice, White came away with a new perspective and new music.

Debut single "Glow" from earlier this year was the first release to come from that project. "Backwards/Medicated" is the second single and it premieres today on THUMP. A driving, melancholy electronic pop track, mixed by Triple J's Tim Shiel and mastered by Kllo's Simon Lam, "Backwards/Medicated" is a song "that kind of snowballed from guilt, [and] feeling completely helpless," Jordan tells THUMP.

"I was wrestling with my own hypocrisy and passiveness. Trying to articulate my own condition and simultaneously being hugely aware of the guilt that is carried by my privileges."

White's debut album is set for release later this year on label Spirit Level. In the meantime, listen to the exclusive premiere of "Backwards/Medicated" below.
