Happy Easter! Your Candy Was Made by Slaves

Cadbury eggs are filled with slave tears.

Easter! It's a time for pretending to be religious for anywhere between a week and one day so that we can all rejoice in putting random chocolate eggs into fake grass lined baskets and handing them to one another! Maybe we'll even buy a baby bunny or chicky and then shoo it into the bushes once we wake up one morning and realize "wait a cotton-pickin' minute, this is a fucking chicken/fat rabbit. I don't want this!"

Let's get back to the chocolate talk! What's your favorite Easter candy? Mine is these little shits:

I'm wondering how good they'll taste now though after the major bummer of a bomb has been dropped that dirty faced slave children like the one pictured at the top of this post have been making them. Greenamerica.org made the following statement in their petition against Cadbury and Hershey:

In 1988, the Hershey Company purchased Cadbury’s US chocolate business, including the exclusive rights to make and sell well-known brands like York Peppermint Patties, Cadbury Crème Eggs, and Cadbury Solid Milk Chocolate Bunnies. Unfortunately, the Hershey Company refuses to meet the standard set by Cadbury’s overseas operations, even though hundreds of thousands of US consumers have called on Hershey to raise the bar and remove forced child labor as an ingredient in its products. These same consumers are eager to purchase treats for their families that align with their values.

Put down those American Cadbury eggs! They're filled with tears!
