There's enough gossip going around the world of electronic music that it probably deserves its own TMZ, Gawker, and Perez Hilton. We keep track of the drama, the beef, the LOLs, the dramatic build-ups, and the tragic drops so you don't have to. Now, let's see who killed it this week.MAJOR DOUCHEBAG
Move over Oakie! Your interview lost it's Worst Interview of All Time title. This has officially taken it's place. This interview is so bad we actually for once in our lives feel sorry for Diplo. The whole world cringed over and over again while watching this go down and wait ...what? Is that Kennedy, the old MTV VJ? What on earth is going on here? Every time she has a chance to save this disaster she just comes right back with another failed joke. Also Jillionaire is officially our new favorite person ever... again.
AN OPEN LETTER TO SKREAM
First you were constantly complaining about your fans only wanting to hear dubstep. We had to read your rants every day and then read your RTs of @ replies from fans that were telling you you are legit and can play other stuff. Now you are complaining about people mentioning that you play disco. Please don't start this again. Just remember you are f*ckin Skream. You can do whatever you want. You don't need to tell us you are cool. WE ALREADY KNOW.
Some genius started the hashtag to rally up Scooter fans on twitter. We are in full support of Scooter playing Glastonbury, and it seems that many other DJs we love are too. Let's make it happen. Glasto could be like this.
BIG NIGHT OUT FOR HUDMO
This week, Hudmo flew in for the TNGHT show at Central Park Summer Stage, brought out Mobb Deep, then headed to Le Baron NYC and got denied admission into his own afterparty, all while wearing this sweet gummy bear shirt. Twitter told us that #Yeezy was able to get in though. So that's good.
Because people like Cobra Krames will actually make them happen. Someone had to do this right? Maybe it will start a movement.
Just when the Daft Punk talk finally starts to fade this happens. We will say no more. You must watch. We have already watched it 100 times.
RAVE GAME MILEY CYRUS
Miley Cyrus announced this week that she was naming her new album BANGERZ. How long until we see her in VIP at Hard Fest? We give it two months. I bet she is really good at expressing herself.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SPACE
Space in Ibiza turns 24 years old this weekend. With Fatboy Slim and 2ManyDJs headlining, that is going to be the biggest birthday bash ever. Just think, these people have been raving since before most of you were even conceived.
ULTRA ON LAYAWAY?
This week Ultra announced their payment installment plan. Kids are already paying off their student loans, credit cards, car payments... and now their Ultra bill. Also, a VIP ticket to Ultra is $850. We will leave you with that.
