Druture's first release on Sinden's Grizzly label sees the Montreal beatmaker moving further into dancefloor territory with an EP of bass-heavy, trance and hip hop influenced club constructions. Previously one half of the production duo Grown Folk, who collaborated with Bay Area rappers Main Attrakionz on their aptly-named Cloud City EP, Drew Kim has since gone solo as Druture. Last year, he released his Out Of Towner Vol. 1 mixtape that featured collaborations with Kitty, Sasha Go Hard and others. On his debut EP, Kim's cloud rap aesthetic is still very much evident in the smoggy synths that cast a gloom over "High Tide". Equally, Uh Oh! is an EP that never seems to settle into a single groove: from the collage of 808s and 8-bit video game bleeps on "Tier Zero" to the dub-inspired delays of its title track. We've got an exclusive preview of the former track, a collaboration between Kim and Sydney producer Dro Carey, in advance of the EP's release next week.Uh Oh! is out October 13th and you can preorder the EP here.
