Whether we like to admit it or not, we've all at one point in our life experienced the humbling shame that comes with accidentally dropping one's food onto the floor.

Perhaps you committed the folly of mistaking the passed out blob of tie-dye that is your friend for a bean bag chair and were forced to part a little too early with your ice cream cone. Or maybe you dropped some udon onto your dorm mate's Little Mermaid sandals, only to drunkenly pick up and continue feasting upon the tangled mess as a wave of shame and yeast washed over you.

Whatever the case, pretty much everybody who eats is forced to deal with the eventuality of dropping—and wasting—one's food. It's a cold, hard truth and how you deal with said truth is what separates the amateurs from the pros.

Sadly, one Tennessee woman ended up with a severe stab wound this Saturday after she accidentally dropped the Rotel cheese dip she was sharing with two other diners, who were less than thrilled with the faux pas and attacked the woman. She was brought to a hospital in critical condition after she crashed her car on the way to the hospital following the altercation. It's not clear as to why she felt the need to drive herself with a mouth full of cheese dip and bleeding stab wound, but we're sure it seemed like a good idea at the time.

In case you were wondering, Rotel dip is just the ungodly corporate bastard of Velveeta and a can of diced tomatoes and green chiles. It's basically queso, but without any semblance of giving half a shit. That, of course, didn't stop her friends from nearly killing the stab victim for wasting some of it.

In addition to not knowing just why in the hell three grown people were gathered to joylessly devour a bowl of dip that costs less than a single coffee, it's unclear how the trio is related to one another.

Final word, if indeed this story went down as the participants reported: People are assholes. They'll get into fights over literally anything. Even something as mundane as dip.
