We have long been fans of Jeff Koons; the artist is a frequent collaborator with the magazine. Which is why we're pleased to share this video made for MOCA's 2017 Gala, which celebrated the American artist. Narrated by Scarlett Johansson (the actress is a friend of Koons), and featuring George Condo, Frank Gehry, Pharrell, David Salle, and Larry Gagosian, among others, the film playfully runs through the themes, material, and context that define one of the most influential and popular artists of today. It was written and directed by Oscar Boyson, produced by Ways & Means, and commissioned by The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles for the 2017 MOCA Gala honoring Jeff Koons.
