Your New Favorite Hot Dog Is Made with Chicken Tenders and Truffle Mayo

Is it technically a hot dog? Maybe. Maybe not. Either way, it's freaking delicious.

You can do literally anything with fried chicken and it will taste amazing.

Throw it in a bolillo roll with Monterey Jack cheese, black beans, pickled jalapenos, and avocado for a killer torta. Smother it in bechamel, cheddar cheese, and a half pack of rolos for parmo, the most deliciously bizarre drunk food you'll ever eat. Use it as the buns that bookend an artery-clogging bacon and cheese sandwich. It really doesn't matter.

But we've got one more mashup that will blow your mind: a fried chicken hot dog.

RECIPE: Truffle Dog

This bastion of decadence is composed of a crispy, herbaceous chicken tender sandwiched between two halves of a pillowy hot dog bun, and topped with caramelized onions cooked in unnecessary amounts of butter, then finished off with a generous dose of homemade truffle mayo for the umami kicker that you probably don't need but you sooooo want.
