Tereza Lee

Born in Brazil to Korean parents, Tereza Lee immigrated to Chicago as a two-year-old and was undocumented for 22 years. At the age of 16, Tereza contacted Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois to ask for help regarding her immigration status. He began working on legislation which would become known as the DREAM Act. Tereza continues to be an immigrant rights’ activist and is currently working on her doctorate in music at the Manhattan School of Music.
