Bills Turn A Touchdown Into A Touchback

Bryce Brown looked to have a sweet 17-yard touchdown run for the Bills but he was stripped by Ron Parker just before crossing the goal line. No matter, teammate Scott Chandler was right there, ready to scoop up the ball for an easy save and touchdown. Except…oof. 

Chandler bobbled the ball, couldn’t pick it up, and could only watch as it bounced out of the back of the end zone. That’s a touchback and Kansas City’s ball on the Buffalo 20-yard line. It was a brutal reversal of fortune, but wound up not hurting Buffalo very much. Kansas City got a quick 12 yards from Jamaal Charles on the next possession, but then went three-and-out and punted the ball back.
