John Oliver Gets Password Advice from Edward Snowden

​We are all well aware that the general population’s passwords suck. For years, the most popular password was “password,” until last year when it ​got bumped by “123456” which is, of course, no better. 

The problem is we’re lazy and having to memorize a complicated string of letters, numbers, and characters for each of our private accounts sounds kind of impossible, so we just stick with what we’ve got an cross our fingers that nothing bad happens. Then ​it does and we feel bad. 

Luckily, in ​his one-on-one sit down with Edward Snowden for Last Week Tonight, John Oliver had the forethought to ask Snowden for a little advice when it comes to building a better password.
