Lorde Takes Interpretive Dance to the Next Level in Her Video for “Yellow Flicker Beat”

I’m faithful though. I think Lorde is the bomb and her new video for this Hunger Games track is tight—velvety, dark, and sly, with a chorus that clobbers the listener with awesome.

Several things about this video make it top notch. This Katharine Hepburn look for one, and just the general menswear vibe throughout. It’s all about that wide-legged, cropped blazer, flame-red pantsuit. This is Lorde 2.0.

I love the way she dances. It’s a seizure, it’s an exorcism, and Lorde doesn’t give a flying fuck what you think.
