Retro Computers That Replicate The Golden Age Of Commodore And Amiga

For all those pining for the days when the Commodore 64 was the height of technological sophistication, you’re in luck. OK, so the company may be as dead as Betamax but that doesn’t mean its iconic chunky 80s design needs to be. Fashion always looks to styles past for inspiration and, while it may not replicate them wholesale, you can never underestimate the influence of days gone by. So if you’re tired of looking at that sleekly designed PC or Mac, and instead want some brown and grey-beige added to your computer’s palette, then this could be just for you.

A company called Commodore USA has taken it upon themselves to make sure the cult following these classic computers get what they want. They’ve secured the rights to both the Commodore and AMIGA brands and are going to release a series of home computers and laptops that have modern compatibilities, hardware, and specifications, all contained within a retro shell. And you’ll be able to play all your favourite 8-bit era games on them too, which come pre-installed on some models.
