Love Invers Reversed is a zine of drawings that fold out and scream LOVE LOVE LOVE! The zine is not steamy or sexed out: that’s gross. It’s kinda more lovey-dovey and naive–full of weird charm. Each drawing is executed obsessively, with whirling spirals and wild waves. Every inch is covered in mushy smiles and scratches. The tones are made up of throbbing violets, bruise-shades, clear running teardrops, and sweat. Each issue is lovingly crafted by Chip Hughes. If you’re interested in checking out Love Invers Reversed, why don’t you drop Chip a line?
Maggie Lee: Whats your idea of a nightmare date and did you ever have any?
Chip: Um I don’t know if I’ve had any terrible dates. They are all good!

Tell me about your first kiss…
She’s married.
She’s married now or was she married when you guys kissed (ew)?
I wasn’t kissing married women as a young man.
OK, So what’s the Baltimore reference in your zine about? And if you love Bmore so much why do you live in NYC?
Oh, “Baltimore Love Thing.” It’s a song by 50 Cent.
What’s Love Invers Reversed about?
Books, zines, love. It’s love, but reversed and inversed.
What do you hate about love?
I don’t know really. What do you like about my zine?
Feverent scribbles and scratches. Whats next on your agenda?
Something for Kingsboro Press 7.
Drawings?
Drawing things for one, and then another book of photos with my friend Carey who’s a designer. Its just gonna be a print they are doing.
I saw that you won a contest at JF & Son.
I guess it’s getting printed around now. All over print. Gangster. Back to 50 cent; full circle.
Sweetness! Is there anything you want to tell me about the zine?
Thanks for liking it or thanks for loving it.
Hahaha, do you want to give any shout outs or say anything else?
My birthday is three days away from Valentine’s Day. It’s in my blood.
