This Korean state TV video comes from the Telegraph, and hoo-boy it’s a gem. We all know that Kim Jong-Il absolutely loved looking at things, and it looks like his son, boy wonder/dictator Kim Jong-Un, also digs staring at the products his country had shipped in produced on the backs of its starving, brainwashed populace. One thing kind of breaks kayfabe though: Look at how stoked he is to be holding a plastic package of vegetables!
It’s like he’s never even seen food before. (Which, looking at that babyface, obviously isn’t the case.) But still, is there any better representation of North Korea’s struggles than the excitement of its leader upon a team of military brass handing him a package of cucumbers? He should have been wearing sunglasses.
