The third annual Life Is Beautiful festival went down in downtown Las Vegas this weekend, bringing some of the biggest names in music, food, art and learning to the neon-lit desert landscape. Art commissioned for the festival transformed the city’s developing downtown with murals and installations from local artists and international names like Banksy, D*Face and 1010, while festival-goers took breaks from 100-degree heat to check out lectures and demonstrations by everyone from Bill Nye to chef Hubert Keller. Fans reveled in a rare supermoon eclipse as acts like Kendrick Lamar, Weezer, Run the Jewels, Death Cab for Cutie, Against Me! and more closed out the three-day celebration. Las Vegas hometown heroes The Killers appeared for a surprise set halfway through frontman Brandon Flowers’ scheduled solo slot, sending screaming fans running to the Downtown main stage to join in on some of the biggest sing-a-longs of the weekend. Walk through the lights and sounds of day three of Life is Beautiful here.
