The Guardian used Skype to interview bloggers in China, including Anti, about the Google China hack. Knowing these people and what they do, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of their email accounts were targets of the hack attack.
And below is a video interview with two of my favorite Chinese rebels, blogger Michael Anti and artist Ai Weiwei, talking about censorship in China. Anti’s blog was infamously removed by Yahoo in 2005 at the request of the Chinese government. Ai’s been riling up the government for years, most recently with his activism over the government’s reluctance to come clean on all the deaths due to the shoddy school buildings destroyed in 2008’s Sichuan earthquake.
