VICE aren’t presenting anymore

Bad news: it’s with regret that we’ve got to tell you that VICE & Fly53 Presents Gallows, Lovvers, Male Bonding event on Friday 18 December is now cancelled.

Gallows called us to say that they couldn’t play because Steph Carter, their guitarist, is unwell. As they were the headline band it seemed sensible to cancel the event fully, rather than offer discounted tickets, or attempt to run the night with a replacement act.

Sorry to tell you so close to the event. It’s a real bummer.

The official statement from Gallows is as follows:

Unfortunately we’re having to announce the cancellation of the remaining Gallows shows of 2009 ‚ in Watford, London and Newcastle. Steph is still unwell and has been told that he will not be able to play any more shows this year and so this has forced us to pull out of these shows.
We’re really sorry to disappoint all our fans who were looking forward to seeing us in 2009 but we promise we’ll come back better and stronger than ever in 2010 and we hope you’ll join us at a show next year.

We are looking at options in the New Year for putting on a replacement show; information on this will be online on viceland.com, vicepresents.com, and in the magazine.
