Grindie never really took off – maybe because the music sounded terrible, maybe because the kids weren’t ready for such a futuristic amalgam of genres. Who can tell? Luckily there’s a new interracial musical collab to cling on to. It’s called grunk and sees the fusion of grime and punk. To kickstart this musical revolution, Gallows and Lethal Bizzle have teamed up to do a cover of “Staring at the Rude Boys” by The Ruts. We witnessed the live debut at this weekend’s Dot To Dot Festival in Nottingham. The video quality is pretty shit, but let’s face it, so is the song.
