Sometimes, I feel a little sorry for the rest of Odd Future. I mean, sure, they’re on constant recess. They’ve got to tour their delinquencies around the world, dress themselves head to toe in Supreme, and they’ve probably had their fair share of jet-setting international playboy incidents. But it’s all been thinly veiled by the crest of Tyler, The Creator’s homegrown wave.

I’m happy and all for my friends when they get things, but you know, sometimes it’s good to steal the spotlight for yourself. On recent MellowHype cut “LP,” Hodgy Beats does exactly that. He rips the spotlight out of its socket, leaving Tyler in the dark, and pours the light all over himself, highlighting his infectious backpack rap, whilst leaving it infused with the now anthemic OFWGKTA war cry of “Kill them, all.”
