It’s the equivalent of a buried treasure chest of computer generated art: a repository of 100 stunning generative artworks built with Processing, assembled by Matt Pearson. The 100 Abandoned Artworks project is a companion piece to Pearson’s new book, Generative Art: a practical guide using Processing (with forward by artist Marius Watz, who we interviewed last month), compiled over the two years he was writing the book (2008-2010). The collection of works, most of which are open source and available for download, essentially functions as a virtual gallery and an anthology of building blocks for artists working in code.
