From their Nitzer Ebb-influenced sound to the very retro look and dance moves, High Functioning Flesh might be mistaken for a band from the not-so-distant past. The LA-based duo, who mixes EBM, synth pop, industrial, and punk aesthetics into their approach, have gone super retro with their new video for “Hunger Cries,” using grain, basic fades and effects, and lo-fi aesthetics to help punctuate the pulsing effort. The result feels like a time capsule in the best of ways. Check out the video below for the first time and order their new LP Definite Structures on May 26.
