Andreena’s “Catch Me” Video Is Like a Bloodless Revenge Flick

Pettiness and spite are powerful motivators for one to excel in their field. Nothing is as satisfying as the feeling of leaping over and/or destroying those who doubted you, which doesn’t happen all that often in real life, but sometimes it’s fun to imagine.. Andreena’s new video for “Catch Me” doesn’t really follow a bloody narrative, but its confident, extravagant nature suggests stunting and triumph of some kind.

Melodramatic flower petals decorate serene skyline shots of Toronto. Andreena suspends herself from an elaborate set of fabrics. It is as visually swooning as an art-house martial arts movie but with a vocal performance being killed instead of ninja armies. Watch the “Catch Me” video above.
