Brooke Candy: “Das Me” (Video)

Here’s the great (read: fucking nuts) video from rapper, ex-stripper and Tumblr royalty, Brooke Candy, who you may recognize from Grimes’ equally pointless but satisfying “Genesis” video. This art-pop offering follows Brooke looking like Barbarella on acid, as she wiles out in the street complete with yardie nails and pink dreads, and implores you to jiggle your tits for her.

She kinda sounds like Kreayshawn on steroids, and even though the beat is pretty generic, I really like how she’s reclaiming female sexuality by telling us to treat our pussyies like meals then handing us dynamite comebacks to misogynists. For example, “Next time they call you a slut/ Brooke Candy tells you not to give a fuck.” OK, thanks for the advice bbz!
