I caught some sort of bug last Friday, so I spent the better part of the weekend getting stoned, hocking up crap into a wastebasket by the couch, and waiting for someone at Burning Man to post a video so incredible that I wouldn’t be able to figure out whether or not it was a joke. The hippies let me down (although this girl gave it a run for the money), but in the course of dicking around I discovered that I had missed this year’s Gathering of the Juggalos and, more importantly, I had missed Andrew WK opening this year’s Gathering of the Juggalos. Despite the fact that both Andrew’s and ICP’s music share the same overwhelming spirit of inclusiveness, excessively involved personal mythology, and homestate, there was evidently some concern before the festival that the Juggalo Nation may not take too readily to AWK’s brand of non clown-oriented partying. As this video attests, however, I think we can all agree he pulled it off.
This one wasn’t so great until the commentary kicked in.
