Theologian’s dark industrial pedigree is impeccable: the brainchild of Lee M. Bartow (AKA Theologian Prime) has released a prodigious amount of harrowing electronic transgressions via labels like Crucial Blast, Handmade Birds, Malignant Records, as well under his own Annihilvs Power Electronix (under whose banner he also book shows and festivals). His latest offering, A Means By Which To Break The Surface Of The Real, is a nightmarish affront of torturous industrial rhythms and suffocating drones, created in conspiracy with collaborators David Castillo (Primitive Weapons, White Widows Pact), Daniel Suffering (Whorid), Matt Slagle, and engineer Kevin D. Reilly, Jr.
