On March 8, thousands gathered in the center of Caracas yet again to protest the food shortages in Venezuela, for which they hold the government responsible. The opposition’s former presidential candidate, Henrique Capriles Radonski, was rumored to be in attendance at the demonstration.
Meanwhile, violent clashes between police and protesters in Altamira Square have become a nightly event.
