Velour Modular’s music pines for the jaundiced neon glows of retro sci-fi films such as Blade Runner and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Consisting of vocalist Guilhem and producer Hektagon, the duo’s EP Capsule inhales interests ranging from numerology to William Blake. It was tessellated entirely over Skype sessions and from it we have “Sudden Motion”, a choice cut of soaring electro-pop, filled with feathery secrets and reminiscent of The Knife.
