Darren Sylvester and ENESS Built the Dancefloor of the Future

A few months back we asked modern renaissance man Darren Sylvester and Melbourne art/design practice ENESS to build an interactive dancefloor for a series of launch parties for the new MINI Hatch. Now, anytime you’re asking the guy who made thisthis, and this, to work with the wizards behind installations like this, and this, it’s perfectly reasonable to expect to have your mind blown. However, the kalaidescopic, disc-shaped, motion-tracking surface they created not only met those expectations, it ground them to dust beneath hundreds of dancing heels. As evidenced by the following photos.
