María y José: “Club Negro” (Official Video)

María y José is the project of Tijuana based experimental hip-hop artist Tony Gallardo. In his track “Club Negro,” Gallardo juxtaposes slimy synth samples and tribal percussion to build a platform for his verses. The video showcases the dark underbelly of Tijuana, with Gallardo’s crew masking up in the hot sun engage in some straight-up kidnappery.
