Robots might not yet scare us in real life, but they’ve been creeping people out for years in the movies.
Fusion compiled a machinery mashup of robots, androids and cyborgs gracing the silver screen for nearly 100 years now. From the 1921 flick The Mechanical Man to this weekend’s Chappie, we’ve either befriended them or cowered in fear from their fire-breathing ways.

The supercut, which consists of 105 films edited down to just two and a half minutes, highlights the uncertainty us humans feel regarding the robot-filled future. It also includes a clip from Interstellar so now you can pretend that you actually saw it!
