Live a Day In A Chipmunk Mask with Daylight in Their New Video

Quicksand, Seaweed, Hum and Smashing Pumpkins are the jumping off point for Daylight, a Pennsylvania crew who released their LP Jar earlier this year via Run for Cover. The prevaling theme in much of the work by those bands dealt with sadness and isolation, a theme that is revisited in “No One’s Deserving” on the record: “Afraid to be myself. Alone I can’t be loved. I stare through your soul to find something meaningful. Something that can’t grow old.” The band’s new video explores those sentiments as well, following a kid who only leaves his house after putting on a giant Chipmunk mask, unable to face the world otherwise. Check out that video above.

Great track from a band that seems to have nailed the vibe and tone from the era. Now somebody get these dudes a chocolate bar or something to cheer them up.
