Remember that time you stayed up really late after the show, hung out by all the trash and realized the trash started to talk to you? All the In-N-Out cups, trashbags, everything, they all formed a big huge face and started talking to you like an iMessage. Same thing happened to our buds in the shoegaze foursome No Joy. In our interview with the band, lead singer Jasmine White-Gluz said of general uncomfortableness, “Yeah, and it definitely also plays in that being uncomfortable thing. I felt like, “What would make me the most uncomfortable, oh, having to share these with people people who listen.” It was another level of opening up and challenging myself on a lyrical level too.” This uncomfortableness is something that expands past the lyrics, and into the depths of this video.
