Youan: “World to Know”

We know that Youan is 22, British and he premiered his glossy summer track “Girl” on Noisey. That’s pretty much it. A few more tracks have been released sporadically over the last year with his name on them, and he’s been getting shouts from Annie Mac and B-Traits, who reckon he’s a bit of alright.

Now, mysterious Youan has a four track EP coming out at the end of the month so maybe then will we know a bit more about him. For now, this new cut, “World to Know”, is actually sick despite the misleading Guetta-esque title. Taken from his upcoming Your Trust EP, it reminds me a lot of Robin S banger “Show Me Love” (which is no bad thing, BTW) all bouncy house production and 90s vocal samples. It starts fairly unassuming but comes in all bells and whistles after the first hint of bass. A sure fire dancefloor filler, listen out for this when you’re twerkin’ round your handbags.
