A few weeks after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for charity, Seth Troxler announced today that he’ll record a new BBC Essential Mix live from Brooklyn’s Output club in Williamsburg. It’ll go down September 23, on a night also featuring sets from mix series founder and host Pete Tong as well as Night People NYC label co-founder Eli Escobar; his mix will be broadcast the following Friday.
Tong started the Essential Mix in the U.S. series this year, inaugurating it with two events in Los Angeles in January; this event will mark its third iteration.

Troxler has done two Essential Mixes previously: one recorded live in 2015 at the Isle of Wight Bestival, and another in 2011. You know by now that he is a purveyor of smokin’ beats, but did you know that he also makes smokin’… meats? THUMP went to Troxler’s BBQ restaurant in London, where he serves his family’s pulled pork recipe, and it was delicious.
Output is located at 74 Wythe Avenue in Brooklyn; advanced tickets will be $30.
