Video artist Geso prefaces his latest work by saying, “The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hand of man.” And so follows the video he created for the song “I’m Willing to Stagger,” from Jaime Fenelly‘s solo project Mind Over Mirrors. Spirit-like wisps of light pulsate with varying intensity, emanating from various forms in a forest setting.
Geso also goes by the nickname Master Glitch, a moniker referencing the glitch art aesthetic he often uses in his work. To create the visuals for “I’m Willing to Stagger,” Geso added interference on footage of trees in a Berlin forest. “Mixing real images with glitches was a real pain in the ass, but it worked!” the artist admits. The end result fits perfectly with Fenelly’s flowing, arhythmic composition.
