David Bowie’s broken the internet by casually dropping a new song on the world, on his 66th birthday after a decade long hiatus. Yeah, NBD.
“Where Are We Now?” is the first single to be taken off brand new album The Next Day due out in March. Recorded in New York, the surprise LP features 14 tracks that sees him hooking up with his longtime work buddy, Tony Visconti. That’s the guy he worked with on stuff like Space Oddity and Young Americans. So yeah, again, NBD.

The track itself is a gentle, melancholic ballad accompanied by a nice little lyrics video, inspired by Bowie’s “Berlin trilogy” and directed by artist Tony Oursier. Watch below, and try not to hyperventilate.
