Whatever you make of NYC’s Le1f, you’ve got to be a total joykill to deny that the boy knows how to make an infectious hook. And “Coins” is no different, as he gets arrogant about his piggy bank and throws out some catty comments at basic bitches, with an accent and inflections that are so aggressively inner-city New Yoooik, it sounds like his face must ache by the end of the track. Couple this with Drippin & Souldrop’s trappy, stuffed-with-drama production and you have an instant bragging anthem.
