Bad news. Johnny Rotten reports that Ari-Up of the Slits has died. We’ll always remember her for making us inappropriately horny in Derek Jarman’s Jubilee, making insanely weird and good dub music with Lee Scratch Perry, and for being the last white person for whom it was acceptable to have dreads or wear those Mad-Hatter-type hats.
