With a musical repertoire that includes classical piano, ambient post-rock, and bouncy garage house, German artist Angsgar Rudolf is truly a man of many talents. Under his ASA 808 alias, Rudlolf has honed his craft as a producer while simultaneously running some of Berlin’s biggest house and techno events. His TOYS parties at Prince Charles nightclub in Berlin have become a key destination for fans of forward thinking music, featuring DJs like Locked Groove and Homework.
ASA 808’s debut offering, Ignorance is available today on ManMakeMusic. “One main inspiration was a personal dichotomy between Dionysian desires and an Apollonian lifestyle,” says the producer.

The conflict between reason and chaos can certainly be heard on the EP through its unexpectedly intense sounds. The standout track is “Attachment”, which combines classical influences with percussive basses and analogue synths for a raw, moody effect.
