Michael Fassbender’s attempt to turn the Assassin’s Creed franchise into a Hollywood blockbuster is turning out to be one of the year’s biggest flops, but it’s not all bad; the film inspired illustrator Serene Teh’s latest stop motion video titled, Assassin’s Creed Paper Parkour. Teh’s 40 second flipbook-style animation shows the film’s protagonist, Aguilar de Nerha, performing hidden blade drops, surfing down tile rooftops, and scaling the walls of a Spanish villas.
Teh put together the animation with help from editor and videographer Noel Lee. Each frame was made using ink drawings on cartridge paper that were then post-edited on Premiere. Each preceding illustration is folded over and arranged so that the video plays like one fluid performance. Check out the video in its entirety below:
