Earlier this week, Bobby Shmurda, who is currently already serving 7 years in prison for murder conspiracy, appeared in court over an alleged attempt to smuggle a knife into Rikers Island prison. TMZ is reporting that he has been offered a plea deal of 1-4 years, on the condition that he accepts a reduced charge of “promoting prison contraband”.
Should the GS9 rapper accept the deal, he’ll serve the 1-4 year sentence concurrently with his present one, meaning that his jail time could end up being a lot shorter than everyone had anticipated. His next hearing is on January 7, so there’ll be more news on his case then.
