Minecraft – Pocket Edition [Android]
Unable to leave your computer because you can’t bear to tear yourself away from Minecraft? We know, we’ve been there too. This app may just be the good news you’ve been waiting for—it’ll let you feed your addiction wherever you are, letting you continue to construct while you’re out and about, with 36 different kinds of blocks giving you the freedom to build whatever the hell you like. No longer will you have to socially engage with friends, and your obsession no longer has to end when you leave the house.
Zappar [iPhone and iPad]
Ok, so this brand new augmented reality channel doesn’t have a great deal on it at the moment, but it’s still relatively early and they’re promising some interesting releases in the future. One of the reasons we’ve got our eye on it is because it’ll be the platform where design agency Dentsu will be featuring their AR toys Suwappu (which Zappar helped develop) when they’re released next year.
