The Brooklyn-based, genre-defying juggernauts of style TV on the Radio have lost one of their own today and so too has the universe lost another shining star. Gerard Smith, multi-instrumentalist on three of the band’s most recent albums, passed away today after a valiant battle with lung cancer. News of Smith’s illness came only a month ago.
