Since Villanova’s heartbreaking loss to NC State, Roxanne Chalifoux has had a rough few days, but Jimmy Fallon is here to make it all worth it. Better known as Crying Villanova Piccolo Player, Roxanne’s tears have flooded the internet, successfully turning her into the latest meme sensation. For the sake of redemption, Fallon invites Roxanne to “The Tonight Show” to join The Roots, giving her a chance to play the piccolo for the world once again, but this time with a smile on her face, a smile that is later enhanced by a basket full of “Tonight Show” swag, ice cream, and two tickets to the Taylor Swift world tour—which made her tear up again. Sports fans know all too well there are few things that can relieve the sting of an upset, but I think Roxanne is going to get through this and be just fine.
