Ah, pizza. Old faithful. You’re our rock, our Dwyane, our Johnson. We’d devote all the content in the world to you if we could. Enjoy some of our favorite pie posts from 2016.

Deep-fried pizza. We know what you’re thinking—it’s about damn time. But this isn’t some lame, greasy Instagram fodder invented by a new-age influencer automat. It’s actually a traditional Italian dish, montanara, that’s been around since World War II. And now it’s in LA, in all it’s fluffy, glistening glory. Hallelujah.

But if it’s a dope ‘gram you want, a dope ‘gram you shall receive. This Brazilian pizzeria is has been pumping out crazy pies for years—they put a whole damn roasted chicken on a pizza. And a birthday cake. And a popcorn machine. We get it, guys, you know how to go viral, and we applaud your commitment.

Fact of life: drunk people to pizza are like moths to a flame. And, as we know, college students are almost always drunk people. Hence, a late-night pizza dispenser in dorms is a no-brainer.

If you no longer have the immense pleasure of living in a college dormitory, you can still have your pizza experience tainted by technology. Here’s a startup that aims to replace human pizza-makers with robots and “disrupt the pizza space.” We’ll bite our tongues.
