Holy shit. I’d kinda just got used to Dizzee resting on his laurels and posting cat memes on his Twitter all day, safe in the knowledge that probably nobody from grime is going to have such an illustrious career in the charts. But I guess inbetween playing the Olympics opening ceremony and being the Queen’s “favourite” MC he’s still been putting the work in.

The turbo lulz video for track “Bassline Junkie”, taken from the imaginatively titled The Mixtape Vol.2, kicks off with him telling a small child to go fuck himself. And gets better from then on really, as he chats: “I don’t need no speed, I don’t need no heroin / I don’t want no coke, you can keep your ketamine.” Totally get you Dizzee, let’s all stay off the pocket nozzle while we wait for him to drop his fifth studio album, mmm’kay?
